Beyond KPIs.

Happy Monday, Reader,

This weekend was filled with birthday shenanigans for my eldest, and I had a house full of guests on wheels...

It was nuts to say the least - in a good way!

I mean, when you see my husband on skates, that’s when you know things are getting serious around here.

In today’s email, you’ll get my latest thoughts about Key Performance Indicators, or KPIs, and how I believe they can support our health goals without becoming the goal.

P.S. Summer is around the corner! Do you want to work together? Be sure to reply or begin here to get started.

Thoughts of the day:

Beyond KPIs.

Let’s talk about KPIs.

KPIs are like report cards for adults: they are measurements that show how well you are doing in certain areas of your life or work.

In business, KPIs are important, but they do not tell the whole story.

They are snapshots of specific areas, such as sales numbers, customer satisfaction scores, or website traffic.

These numbers can help you see how well certain parts of the business are doing.

However, as a report card doesn’t show everything about a student’s abilities or efforts, KPIs don’t capture all aspects of a business’ health either.

They might miss important things like employee morale, company culture, or long-term growth potential.

Beyond KPIs of health

How does this relate to your health and nutrition?

Oh, let me count the ways.

Let’s talk about weight, for instance.

Weight is a KPI that has value for many people.

As with other metrics, weight can be helpful as part of the story, just like dropping blood pressure or blood sugar levels.

These numbers may help you understand if you are on the right track.

However, as the primary motivator, they do not work.

Why?

They don’t reflect the mindset shift or sustainable lifestyle change that is fundamental to lasting health.

Selective KPIs

In my group program, your cohort will have the opportunity to select their personal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Remember, these KPIs are guideposts, not the sole value of joining the program.

The true value goes beyond the numbers. You deserve to eat better, live better, and move with joy. That kind of value transcends numerical metrics.

I genuinely love helping people achieve their health goals. And when individuals have lost their way, I take great satisfaction in helping them find their path again. Read more [below]
